Victims of the Marcos Era Will Be Paid By 2017


Philippine History will never be forgotten as the fruit of the past bears the seed of the future. The Marcos Era may be done but those who have been affected by the wrong doings of the government still remain even so after death the memory of what they have experienced during the Marcos Era spreads through their family and relatives and the urge to seek justice still remains stronger than ever.


Human Rights Victims' Claims Board ( HRVCB ) will announce to the public about the martial law claims that will be finished next year. The claims, the stories about injustice during the Marcos Era, the people behind the sufferings recently have filed complaints as human rights violation victims. 



More or less around 75,730 individuals have claimed to be the victims of Marcos. 

HRVCB only released the ongoing counting of individuals who are still processed at the moment only noting to 23% of the 17,000 out of the 75,000 compensation claims. Acknowledged by the Chairperson of HRVCB, Lina Sarmiento  the claims are said to be from the next generation of those who have suffered under the Marcos Era.


Republic Act No. 10368 or the human rights victims and Reparation and recognition act 2013, HRVCB only have until May 12,2018 to finish the processing of compensation for the victims.
