GOOSEBUMPS & TEARS: Netizens All Praises For World-Class SEA Games Opening Ceremony

The 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games 2019 officially opened with a world-class opening ceremony at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan on Saturday, November 30.

The stunning ceremony featured veteran SEA Games medalists and world champions who held the Southeast Asian Games Federation flag.

It was a star-studded evening with singers Christian Bautista, Robert Seña, Jed Madela, KZ Tandingan, apl.de.ap, Inigo Pascual and Elmo Magalona, among others, belting out tunes and showcasing dance numbers.

The night culminated with an explosive torch-lighting and fireworks show led by boxing titleholders Senator Manny Pacquiao and Nesthy Petecio.

Not everyone may have watched the ceremonies live at the arena but spectators made sure that their voices are heard on social media as #SEAGames2019 and #30thSEAGames lorded over the Twitter trending topics in the Philippines and worldwide.

Even the Liberal Party Chair and Vice President Leni Robredo congratulated the event’s organizers, as well as the performers and athletes who participated in the opening.
