Netizens Demand Raffy Tulfo A Public Apology To Humiliated Teacher

Teacher Melita Limjuco and parents who complained to a program Raffy Tulfo in Action over alleged child abuse have been settled.

In a Facebook post, Atty. Joseph Noel M. Estrada fixed the dispute between the two sides with the help of the Department of Education (DepEd) supervisor.

For the child’s sake, Limjuco acknowledged the “sorry” of the boy’s parents.

Atty. Estrada offered to help the teacher pro-bono after being rejected by Raffy Tulfo’s program her right to due process of law.

The complaint came after Limjuco kicked the student out of the classroom for failing to return his report card, but the teacher insisted that she just wanted to discipline the child and that she had no intention of traumatizing him.

Limjuco also apologized, however, the boy’s family wanted the teacher punished.

Tulfo initially threatened to file child abuse charges against the teacher for “traumatizing” the student but changed his mind after the student’s parents proposed to deny the teacher career eligibility instead.

Limjuco chose to voluntarily leave teaching for her profession for 29 years after Tulfo threatened her that they would make sure that she ends up in jail.

The netizens did not like Tulfo’s treatment of the teacher and the request for her license was revoked.

In fact, the first episode dubbed as the “worst” of Raffy Tulfo in Action program garnered over 321,000 dislikes on YouTube out of netizens’ anger as of this writing.

The television and radio personality backtracked on the second episode saying the teacher would not be sued anymore.

This, after receiving backlash on social media, but he asserted that the teacher must still be sanctioned and taught “maximum tolerance.”

Meanwhile, Atty. Estrada assured by the DepEd supervisor that they were properly addressing the issue, but the attorney feels like something is missing which he posted on his social media account.

Thousands of netizens reacted to Atty. Estrada’s post demanding that Raffy Tulfo and the boy’s parents, as well as the grandmother, should do public apology to Limjuco after they humiliated the teacher on Raffy Tulfo in Action without due process of law.

Khrizzy: “Dapat mag-public apology ang mga magulang lalo na yung lola kunsintidora! Pati na din yang si Tulfo.”

Mary Ann: “The teacher deserves public apology from the parents of the learner as well as from Tulfo.”

Grace: “Public apology from #tulfoinaction he humiliated the teacher without any bases.”

Nemia: “Tulfo should receive his sanction for what he did, feeling may katungkulan sa Judicial System, may hatol agad siya!”
