Father Commits Suicide After Failing To Pay His Debt

A 47-year-old father committed suicide for failure to pay his debt in Barangay Casili, Mandaue City on Tuesday morning, August 22.

Alejandro Pucot was found dead by his son with an electric wire tied around his neck.

According to the Mandaue City Police Office, Pucot was able to send a text message to his wife telling her to pay their debts before he committed suicide.

“Bayari ninyo ato tanan utang ni dai Jean ha? Una nalang ko nimo, Gie, basta love jud kaayo tika. Ayaw jud intawn pasagdi ang mga bata ha? Pasayloa jud ko ninyo tanan. Bye. Mahal mo nako tanan (Pay all our debts. I have to go, Gie. I love you so much. Please take good care of the children. Please forgive me. I love you all),” the text message read.
