P632 Million Road, Bridge Widening Projects In Leyte To Start In 2017
The Department of Public Works and Highways Second Leyte
Engineering District will implement projects worth P632 million early next
year.
According to Leyte Governor Leopoldo Petilla, the bidding of
the projects for the second district started in November.
Petilla said bidders for 27 projects have completed
pre-detailed engineering and other technical details.
Moreover, the projects, which are part of the DPWH’s P1.7
billion regular infrastructure fund for next year, consist involve flood
control, road widening and reblocking and bridge widening.
Petilla further added that the bridges that will be widened
include the Sagkahan Bridge, Ponong Bridge, Tagak Bridge and Cocot Bridge along
the Palo-Carigara-Ormoc Road.
