Vargas Claimed He Was Never Hurt By Pacquiao Despite Knockdown In 2nd Round


Jessie Vargas gets a lot of boos from the fans after his fight with Manny Pacquiao.

Vargas said that there was no round that he was hurt by Pacquiao despite he hit the canvass in the second round during their fight on Saturday in Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.

"It was a flash knockdown," Vargas said. "What can I say, it was a good shot," he added.


The Filipino boxing champion outclassed Vargas most of the rounds. Pacquiao won via unanimous decision and held as the WBO Welterweight Champion.

Judges scored the bout 114-113, 118-109, 118-109, all for the "Pacman."

The 27-year-old Vargas said that he learned in his fight against Pacquiao.

"It's a good learning experience going up against one of the greatest," Vargas said.
