FDA Warned Public Against Buying Dozens Of Unnotified Cosmetic Products

The Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) warned the public against buying dozens of cosmetic products that have not been inspected and reviewed for compliance with safety standards.

In three separate advisories released on October 26, the FDA said it could not verify that the said products do not contain chemicals that could cause skin irritation. These include:

Northern Luzon and Cagayan Valley

1. Dane Papaya Extract Soap Super Active Skin Whitener

2. Verdon Shine Keratin Hair Spa Milk Essence

3. A Bonne Milk Powder Lightening Lotion Plus Collagen

4. Hanzhixiu Colour Cream (E-15 Grape Red)

5. Hanzhixiu Permanent Hair Colorant (A-18 Golden Red)

6. Professional Skin Care Formula Collagen with Elastin Cream

7. Asudjor Extra Whitening Armpit Cream and Deodorant

8. Malunggay Facial Toner

9. Malunggay Peel-Off Mask

10. Placenta Original Soap

Central Luzon

1. Urban Decay

2. Naked 4 Concealer

3. Naked 6 Urban Decay Eyebrow Liquid/Eyeliner Pencil

Metro Manila, Davao and Negros Island regions

1. Maxfactor Eye Brightening Mascara

2. Etude House BB Cream Bright Fit

3. Etude House Double Magic Korea Eyeliners

4. Etude House BB Magic Cream

5. Etude House Black Water Proof Eyeliner

In an advisory released earlier in October, the following products were also listed as not registered with the FDA.

2. Summer's Eve Simply Sensitive Cleansing Wash for Sensitive Skin

3. Softsoap Crisp Cucumber & Melo Hand Soap

4. Belle & Whistle Natural Care Refreshing Avocado Shower Gel

5. Belle & Whistle Natural Care Moisturising Avocado Body Lotion

6. Belle & Whistle Backyard Garden Rose Luxurious Cream Bath

7. Belle & Whistle Backyard Garden Rose Luxurious Shower Gel

8. Aromance Sparadise Cypress Poppy Body Lotion

9. Aromance Sparadise Cypress Poppy Bath & Shower Gel

10. Aromance Sparadise Cotton Blossoms Bath & Shower Gel

11. Aromance Sparadise Cotton Blossoms Body Lotion

12. Darlie Double Action Flouride Toothpaste Original Strong Mint

13. Spanish Garden Pure Vitamin E Moisturizing Beauty Cream

The advisory states that the public is advised not to purchase the aforementioned violative products. Moreover, the public is also advised to be vigilant against cosmetic products that might be duly notified with FDA.
