Duterte Fails To Fulfill Promise To God, Curses Again
During a speech at Sual town in Pangasinan Wednesday, the controversial president again hit the United States for reportedly halting the sale of around 26,000 assault rifles to the country.
Duterte said he lost his respect to the US, as he called them son of a bitch.
“That's my problem with the America. I admire them but the problem (is) I lost my respect (to the US). That's why I disrespect them because they disrespect us. Look at these monkeys, when we are going to buy the 26,000 rifles, they do not want to sell it. Son of a bitch," he said.
He also hit America for getting benefits from the country for years now, "they said we should be thankful that they will give us arms. Fifty years, they benefit from our country... You are all son of a bitch," Duterte said.
Early this week, the US State Department reportedly stopped the selling of weapons to the Philippines after Senator Ben Cardin is allegedly against the plan due to the alleged rising number of human rights violation cases in the country.
Last week, Duterte claimed that God talked to him while he was on board a plane to Davao from Japan, as he promised that he will stopped cursing.
The president said: "I was looking at the skies as I was coming over here. Everybody was asleep, snoring. A voice said that, 'You know, if you don't stop, I will bring this plane down now.’ So I promise God not to express slang, cuss words and everything. So you guys hear me right always because a promise to God is a promise to the Filipino people.”
Duterte had been critical of the US for reportedly intervening his all-out war against illegal drugs, which killed thousands of people.
