Cathedral Phantoms Grabs Another Win On Kobe Paras Return After AnInjury

It was a close fight between Los Angeles Cathedral Phantoms and Cantwell-Sacred Heart Cardinals last Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Phantoms won an away conference game by a score of 57 - 50 at the Rio Hondo Community High School gym.

Another great effort of the team Phantoms who led by the top-ranked point guard Milan Acquuah who got 20 points (75% FG), 7 assists, 5 steals, 3 rebounds and 2 blocks.

Leandro Amador also contributed 11 points, 3 assist and 3 steals. The Brazilian big man Lucas Siewert added 11 points and 7 rebounds.

Senior Fil-Am player Jameel McGill got 8 points, 3 assists, 1 block and 1 steal while Kobe Paras who missed 2 straight games of Cathedral Phantoms because of a sprained ankle returned and helped in the defensive side. Kobe got 2 points, 4 blocks, 4 steals and 3 rebounds.

Cathedral Phantoms scored 17 points in the first quarter, 15 points in the second quarter, 14 points in the third and 11 points in the fourth to win the game with a total of 57 points.

Cantwell-Sacred Heart Cardinals scored 16 points in the first quarter, 7 points in the second quarter, 10 points in the third and 17 points in the final quarter with a total of 50 points.

Cathedral Phantoms now has 15-3 record while Cantwell-Sacred Heart Cardinals has 11-8 record.

Cathedral will be facing the Serra Cavaliers with a record of 10 - 9 on Friday, January 23, 2015.
