PNP Receives 3 More Brand New Airbus H125 Helicopters For Rescue, Relief Operations

Three more helicopters have been delivered to the Philippine National Police (PNP) this month, said Major Gen. Angelito Casimiro, head of the PNP Directorate for Logistics.

“The arrival of three Airbus H125 helicopters brought to 10 the total number of air assets of the national police force,” he said.

The new helicopters will be used in rescue, relief, and medical evacuation operations amid the series of strong weather disturbances that hit the country in the past few weeks.

PNP choppers are currently being used for the distribution of relief goods to isolated areas that were hit by typhoon ‘Ulysses’, especially in the Cagayan and Isabela provinces.

According to Casimiro, each H125 helicopter costs PHP205.3 million.
