Policeman Gets Award For Returning Bag Containing P200,000
A policeman from Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, was conferred
the “Medalya ng Papuri” (Commendation Medal) after he returned a bag containing
documents and bank checks amounting to P200,000 to its owner.
Chief Superintendent Reynaldo Biay, deputy regional director
for administration of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Ilocos, conferred the
award on Senior Police Officer 1 Noli Lee Teope, a member of the Urdaneta City
Police Station in Pangasinan, on September 18.
The awarding ceremony was held at the PRO-Ilocos Grandstand
at Camp Oscar Florendo in San Fernando City.
Teope recovered the bag sometime in August while patrolling
Poblacion, Urdaneta City.
The owner of the bag, Elena Paasa, thanked Teope for
returning her bag.
