Commuters Defend Filipino Couple From Racist Co-Passenger In Canada
Commuters
aboard the Vancouver Skytrain stood up against a Canadian woman who hurled
racist remarks against a Filipino couple.
In a video
posted on Facebook, a woman is seen verbally attacking an elderly Filipino
couple.
The verbal
assault started when the woman asked the couple to lower their voices.
The pair
apologized, claiming that was how they talked back home.
The lady
then fired racist remarks, but some passengers stood up for the Filipino
couple.
The
incident was caught on camera by Ashley Klassen, who described it as the most “disgusting
thing” she had ever seen.
An
investigation has been launched into the incident, and authorities have
identified the woman as someone documented for having anger-related issues.
