PDEA Is Hiring New Agents To Fight Against Illegal Drugs
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) continues to
provide employment opportunities by opening its doors to those who aspire to
become part of the country’s premier organization against illegal drugs.
“PDEA is currently on the look-out for Drug Enforcement
Officers (DEOs), an entry level position of Intelligence Officer 1 (IO1), a
permanent item with Salary Grade 11. Once recruited, they will undergo a
six-month comprehensive and regimented training program at the PDEA Academy,
Silang, Cavite,” said PDEA Director General Isidro S. Lapeña.
The Director General is looking forward to beef up the lead
agency’s front liners against dangerous drugs.
“These applicants may well become potential reinforcements
that will enhance PDEA’s stance and provide more teeth in ridding the country
from the drug menace,” he said.
Furthermore, Lapeña said that the agency is presently in the
screening process for highly-qualified professionals as would-be trainees that
will comprise the Drug Enforcement Officer Basic Course (DEOBC) Class 2017-10.
Applicants must be 21-35 years old, men and women, at least
5’2” in height for men and 5’ in height for women, holder of a Baccalaureate
Degree, Career Service Professional Eligible, Board Passer or qualified by the
Civil Service Commission under Special Laws.

height waiver issued by the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP),
photocopy of official Transcript of Records, photocopy of college diploma, and
a photocopy of Certification of Eligibility.

At present, the current DEOBC Class 16-09 is now halfway on
