President Duterte To Use P5 Billion PAGCOR Aide To Build Rehab Center In Visayas
President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday said he may use the
funds of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) in building
another Mega Drug Rehabilitation Center in Visayas.
“Maybe I can build another one, this time, somewhere in
Visayas. But I’m sure because Pagcor turned over P5 billion last night,”
Duterte said here at the inauguration of Mega Drug Rehabilitation Ccenter at
Camp Fort Magsaysay.
The funds for the construction of the drug rehabilitation
facility in the province came from Chinese billionaire Huang Rulun.
Huang donated P1.4 billion for the 100-square-meter
rehabilitation center.
On Monday, the President accepted the P5 billion check from
Pagcor officials during a meeting in Malacañang.
The P5 billion assistance is intended to aid the Office of
the President in implementing its various socio-civic projects.
