DA Chief Piñol To Create Anti-Agriculture Smuggling Task Force

Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel “Manny” Piñol said he is about to sign an order creating an anti-agriculture smuggling task force.

Piñol made the announcement less than a week after canceling the import permits on agricultural products – except rice, to curb smuggling.

“Pipirmahan ko na po yung isang order para sa pagtatag ng anti-agriculture smuggling task force,” he told DZRH.

Following the cancelation of import permits, the DA Chief said importers will have to deal with his office for their applications.
