Brunei To Assist Philippines To Have A Share In $2 Trillion Halal Products Market Worldwide
This is one of the pact during the state visit of President Rodrigo Duterte in Brunei this week, Lopez said.
Around one-fifth of the Philippines population are Muslims and mostly are Catholic. This Halal certified products are approved to be consumed by our Muslim brothers under Islam law.
"Brunei is renowned for being a credible source of Halal certifications. They will help us improve the Halal certification in the country, and teach us how to improve the promotion of our Halal products," Lopez said in an interview with DZMM.
Fortifying the ties between Philippines and Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia will boost the export oppurtunities for Philippines product that are Halal certified.
