President Duterte Unveils Binondo-Intramuros, Estrella-Pantaleon Bridges Project

President Rodrigo Duterte was presented with the scale models of the Binondo-Intramuros and Estrella-Pantaleon Bridges, both crossing Pasig River, which will be built and financed by China through grant.

President Duterte and China Premier Li Keqiang witnessed the signing of several agreements along with the Exchange of Letters on Project of Two Bridges across Pasig River during their meeting on Wednesday, November 15.

Following the signing ceremony, the two leaders led the ceremonial launching of Binondo-Intramuros and Estrella-Pantaleon Bridges project.

The Binondo-Intramuros Bridge has a length of 734 meters and a width of 21.65 meters, and it will have two lanes in both directions.

It will also connect Intramuros side at Solana Street and Riverside Drive and Binondo side at San Fernando Street with a viaduct.

The Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge, on the other hand, has a total length of about 560 meters, and a width of 21.65 meters.

It will also have two lanes in both directions and will utilize the existing approaches in Makati City and Mandaluyong City.
