President Duterte Says Senator De Lima’s Involvement In Illegal Drugs A Real Thing

President Rodrigo Duterte said on Thursday, October 12, Senator Leila De Lima’s illegal drugs case was a real thing and she deserved to be in jail for her involvement in illegal drugs activities.

On his latest interview with Erwin Tulfo in PTV’s “Sa Totoo Lang,” the President said that the Supreme Court were already there deciding that all the illegal drugs cases against the Senator are valid.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday voted 9-6 to junk Senator De Lima’s petition to dismiss the drug-related cases charged against her.

“Itong kaso ni De Lima, totoo talaga ‘to.. and the Americans know that already,” President Duterte stated.

The President also mentioned that Senator De Lima’s corruption activities stemmed from her affair with her driver, Ronnie Dayan.

“You start with the tapes of the… in x-rated, between De Lima and the driver. Because diyan nag-umpisa ang corruption niya… sa driver niya,” the President revealed.

Dayan was the alleged bagman of Senator De Lima who was collecting the drug money from the illicit transactions inside the New Bilibid Prison.

The money was purportedly used to finance Senator De Lima’s senatorial campaign in 2016.

“Maniwala ba kayo na inimbento lahat yon? Pati yung lahat nasa loob, pati yung driver niya na mahal niya,” President Duterte said.

“Then she’s claiming she’s a prisoner of conscience. Would you believe it’s invented? Do not blame anybody. Frankly speaking, on this planet, it’s your life. You are responsible for all what’s happening in your life,” he added.

Senator De Lima has been detained at the Philippine National Police custodial center in Quezon City since February.
