Duterte Administration Unveils The New Clark City In 2022
The Build Build Build team of the Duterte administration has
released perspective photos of the proposed New Clark City, previously referred
as Clark Green City.
The administration of President Rodrigo Duterte aims to complete the first phase
of New Clark City in 2022.
“This project, which aims to reduce traffic congestion in
Metro Manila and build a new government and business center in Clark, is being
implemented by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority,” the Department
of Transportation said.
New Clark City will be connected to Metro Manila through a
railway, the Philippine National Railways (PNR) North to be built by Japan.
It will also become accessible through expressway.
New Clark City is planned to be a metropolis consisting of
different districts from business, government, education, housing, lifestyle,
and nature.
The project will cover 9,450 hectares and its entire
development will cost around P607 billion which could be funded by the
government and private investors.
