547 Towns To Get P8.15 Billion Financial Aid From National Gov’t Under Pres. Duterte
Five hundred forty seven towns will get financial assistance
totaling to P8.15 billion from the national government under President Rodrigo
Duterte through the Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities (ADM) program.
The said municipalities are among the first batch of
recipients that complied with the requirements for release after getting the
Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) mark from the Department of the Interior and
Local Government (DILG).
They had also complied with both assessment and adoption of
measures on Public Financial Management (PFM) as prescribed by the Department
of Budget and Management (DBM).
The program, which covers 1,373 local government units
(LGUs) in the country, has a budget allocation of P19.43-billion as provided
under Republic Act No. 10924.
Included in the projects are programs on water systems,
evacuation facilities, small water impounding systems, sanitation facilities
and local access roads.
