Millions Of President Duterte Signed Peso Bills Launched By Bangko Sentral
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas said it deployed to the
financial system on Tuesday, December 20, bank notes that bear the signature of
President Rodrigo Duterte.
According to Deputy Governor Diwa Guinigundo, five million
bills per 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1,000 –peso denomination and two million
200-peso bills were sent to BSP Regional Offices across the country.
“In the subsequent days, until the New Year, we will
continue to not only produce but to ship them to the different branches of the
BSP,” he said.
Guinigundu added that the design and the security features
of the bills were unchanged.
