Philippines Received P89.8 Million Donation For Victims Of Super Typhoon Lawin
Chinese Embassy gave P50 million, Red Cross China gave $100,000 equivalent to P4.8 million and the China government itself donated P35 million pesos for a total of P89.8 million.
Duterte said that the money acquired will go a long way to rehabilitate and bring the lives of Filipino people to normal again. The money is intended to provide livelihood to the victims of super typhoon Lawin.
Duterte also clarified that there's no string attached for these donations, it's completely out of benevolence.
Presidential Communication aired the statement on its social media account.
