De Lima is a 'Biased' Committee Chair Says Cayetano

Senator Allan Peter Cayetano stated that Senator Liela de Lima chairmanship as the Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights is biased in handling the senate probe on extra judicial killings in relation to current administration war on drugs.

Senator Cayetano said that the hearings should be fair and the committee chairs should be not bias. He also denounce de Lima's obvious thinking of the government as "guilty" while hearings on extra-judicial killings is underway.

"Sa isip ni Senator De Lima, guilty na ang administrasyon. Paano mabibigyan ng fair na hearing ito?" Cayetano said on his privilege speech at the Senate on Wednesday.

Cayetano also highlighted in his speech that the witnesses in the hearings are all family related to drug users and pushers who died during the progression of governments war against drugs.

"Ano ba ang mayroon sa human rights? Due process. Dito sa hearing ng Justice Committee, wala ka pa ngang ginagawa, guilty ka na."
