Kobe Paras game stats on their previous game against Cantwell-Sacred Heart were not that really good on the offensive side but impressive on the defensive end.

The game against Cantwell was his come-back game after he suffered a sprained ankle and missed two consecutive games of the team.

On this game against Serra, Paras stepped up and became more aggressive in attacking the basket and he is looking good in the 3-point range.

Kobe Paras lead the team Cathedral Phantoms into a huge victory on their home court and still he continued to show some crowd-pleasing dunks. Cathedral won with a final score of 82 – 63.

Video: Kobe Paras Game Highlights Against St. Bernard Vikings,Cathedral Won With 32-Point Lead

Cathedral Phantoms is now getting more intensive inside the court and their last victim is the St. Bernard Vikings. Los Angeles Cathedral Phantoms won the game by a score of 74 – 42 last January 28, 2015.

It was a huge lead at the end as Cathedral outscored the St. Bernard in the second quarter with 19 points for Phantoms against 4 points made by Vikings.

Kobe Paras had 10 points for this game and in foul trouble that made him sat in the bench in the entire fourth quarter.

Quarter scores are as follows;

St. Bernard scored 13 points in the first quarter, 4 points in the second, 14 points in the third and 11 points in the fourth quarter with a total score of 42.

Cathedral Phantoms made 19 points in the first quarter, another 19 points in the second quarter, 23 points in the third quarter and 13 points in the fourth with a total of 74 points.

Cathedral s’ national ranking moved to 53 (+22) and in the California state they are rank number  9 (+2) with 17 wins and 3 loss record.

The team will play against Morgan Park Mustangs with 13 -3 record on Saturday, January 31, 2015.

Los Angeles Cathedral Phantoms is doing great and the team has a bright future ahead this season. This post will let you know who are the players behind the Cathedral Phantoms team.


The basketball team already won 16 games and lost only 3 games as of this time and still many upcoming games by month of February. Phantoms now ranked 53 in the national and ranked 9 in the California state.

Kobe Paras Scored 19 Points And Lead The Cathedral Phantoms To VictoryAgainst Serra Cavaliers

Kobe Paras is now back on track after he suffered a sprained ankle and missed two straight games of Phantoms. Cathedral got their fourth winning streak after beating the Serra Cavaliers last Friday, January 23, 2015 by a final score of 82 - 63.

Kobe Paras scored 19 points and lead the Cathedral Phantoms for their 16th win in the season. After a slow offensive start of his last game against Cantwell Sacred Heart last Wednesday, Kobe Paras showed an impressive performance inside the court in this game against Serra.

Cathedrals were confident already to win the game as they lead 20 points, 80 - 60, with 1:29 left in the fourth quarter.

Serra Cavaliers scored 14 points in the first, 17 points in the second quarter, 13 points in the third and 19 points in the fourth quarter with a total of 63 points.

Cathedral Phantoms is on a big lead at the end of first quarter as they scored 23 points, 15 points in the second, another 15 points in the third and 29 big points in the fourth quarter to seal the game with 82 points.

Cathedral record is now 16 - 3 and will play against the St. Bernard Vikings with 10 - 12 record on January 28, 2015.

Cathedral Phantoms Grabs Another Win On Kobe Paras Return After AnInjury

It was a close fight between Los Angeles Cathedral Phantoms and Cantwell-Sacred Heart Cardinals last Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Phantoms won an away conference game by a score of 57 - 50 at the Rio Hondo Community High School gym.

Another great effort of the team Phantoms who led by the top-ranked point guard Milan Acquuah who got 20 points (75% FG), 7 assists, 5 steals, 3 rebounds and 2 blocks.

Leandro Amador also contributed 11 points, 3 assist and 3 steals. The Brazilian big man Lucas Siewert added 11 points and 7 rebounds.

Senior Fil-Am player Jameel McGill got 8 points, 3 assists, 1 block and 1 steal while Kobe Paras who missed 2 straight games of Cathedral Phantoms because of a sprained ankle returned and helped in the defensive side. Kobe got 2 points, 4 blocks, 4 steals and 3 rebounds.

Cathedral Phantoms scored 17 points in the first quarter, 15 points in the second quarter, 14 points in the third and 11 points in the fourth to win the game with a total of 57 points.

Cantwell-Sacred Heart Cardinals scored 16 points in the first quarter, 7 points in the second quarter, 10 points in the third and 17 points in the final quarter with a total of 50 points.

Cathedral Phantoms now has 15-3 record while Cantwell-Sacred Heart Cardinals has 11-8 record.

Cathedral will be facing the Serra Cavaliers with a record of 10 - 9 on Friday, January 23, 2015.

Cathedral Phantoms Wins In Overtime Versus Long Beach Poly In PasadenaLast January 19, 2015

Cathedral Phantoms fought one of their best games so far by winning the game against Long Beach Poly in overtime held in LaSalle in Pasadena.

It was a crucial fight between both teams as the game went into overtime.  KJ Feagin of Long Beach Poly drove out the stretch of the court and shoots to tie the game at 55 at the end of regulation. However, the Cathedral gained control in the overtime. Kobe Paras was not able to play for Phantoms because of his sprained ankle.

Long Beach Poly leads Cathedral 29-24 at halftime. Leandro Amador has 17 big points to lead the Phantoms in the first half.

At the third quarter, Milan Acquuah executed well in the court and the Cathedral is leading the Long Beach Poly, 46-41. Milan still continues to lead the Phantoms in the fourth 50-47 with 3:23 left in the clock to go in the finale.

Long Beach Poly managed to cut the lead of Cathedral Phantoms to 52-51 with less than minute to go in the final quarter. A big time three by Lucas Siewert added to the lead of Phantoms 55-53 with 30 seconds left.

It was Long Beach Poly ball and trailing 55-53 with seconds to play, the game was tied at 55 because of the cross-court drive of KJ Feagin.

In the overtime, Lucas is hot in three-point range and gave the Phantoms a sweet victory over Poly. Final score in the overtime is 68-64.

It was a team effort that made the Phantoms victorious. Milan Acquuah finishes with 27 points, Leandro Amador had 23 and Lucas Siewert with 12.

Kobe Paras and Cathedral Phantoms lost against the Fairfax Lions on the championship game of Huntington Park Tournament held last January 10, 2015.

It was a war inside the court as Cathedral Phantoms were down by 4 points against Fairfax Lions at the end of regulation, 59-55 was the final score.

It went up to 17-point lead by Fairfax but Phantoms managed to back in the game and reduced the lead into 4-point at the end. The team put a good fight until the end.

Kobe Paras finishes with 13 points and had 2 assists.

Cathedral Phantoms, Kobe Paras And Jameel McGill Wins By 1 PointAdvantage

Cathedral Phantoms with Kobe Paras and Fil-Am Jameel McGill team effort gave them the victory by 1 point advantage against the Maranatha High School of Pasadena.

It was a tough match-up between Cathedral and Maranatha because the game was close throughout and only some few lead changes happened.

The Maranatha star, Tyler Dorsey, listed in the top 50 high school basketball player in the country dropped 36 points and 16 rebounds failed to lift his team in winning the game. Dorsey is 4 points away in recording his 3rd straight 40-points game but he is still amazing.

Kobe Paras scored the first 2 points of the game with a reversed lay-up. Kobe scored 11 points guarded by Tyler Dorsey. Lucas Siewert managed the rebounding while Jameel McGill added defensive pressure on Dorsey inside the court. Milan Acquaah made some big basket and sealed the game by 57-56 in Cathedrals' favor.

It was a team effort that made the Cathedral victorious over one of the best high school team in the country.

Kobe Paras And Cathedral Phantoms Game Highlights Against Millikan Rams

Kobe Paras and his team Cathedral Phantoms pushes through after winning the first match up against the Millikan Rams in the Huntington Park Tournament.

After their defeat in Valley High School last December 2014 for the Las Vegas Tournament, Cathedral bounced back and got their first win in the opening of the year and of the Huntington Park Tournament.

The game ended with a final score of 78 - 56. Kobe Paras got 10 points including a two handed alley-oop slam.

Kobe Paras and Cathedral Phantoms grabbed their second win in the Huntington Park Tournament after winning the game against Diamond Ranch Panthers last January 6, 2015 by a score of 68-52.

The Cathedral Phantoms were led by Milan Acquaah and Kobe Paras.

Quarter scores are as follows;

Diamond Ranch scored 11 points in the first quarter, 22 points in the second quarter, 13 points in the third and 6 points in the last quarter with a total of 52 points.

Cathedral Phantoms scored 18 points in the first quarter, 24 points in the second, 6 points in the third and 20 points in the last quarter with a total of 68 points.

The Cathedral Phantoms now has a 11-1 record (2-0 for Huntington Park Tournament) and will face the Maranatha Minutemen on January 7, 2015.

Maranatha also won against the Diamond Ranch yesterday and will play against the Millikan today who lost to Phantoms yesterday. Maranatha has a 4-5 record, ranked #843 in the national and 87 in California state.

UCLA-Bound Kobe Paras Interview Last October 2014

Kobe Paras,young 6'6" tall, talented, a rising star from the Philippines who verbally committed to UCLA Bruins last October 2014 became popular after the San Fernando Valley Invitational Tournament because of his impressive performance both in offense and defense and also his crowd-pleasing dunking skills.

He is expected to play in UCLA Bruins on 2016 under Coach Steve Alford watch. UCLA Bruins had been producing NBA stars like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Reggie Miller, Kevin Love and Russell Westbrook.

Kobe Paras and Cathedral Phantoms won against Millikan Rams by a score of 78 - 56 after the Phantoms dominated the Rams every quarter of the game last January 5, 2015. This is the first game of Cathedral Phantoms in the Huntington Park Tournament.

Kobe Paras scored 10 points. Kobe also had an awesome two handed alley-oop slam.

Quarter scores are as follow;

Long Beach Millikan Rams scored 16 points in the first quarter, 10 points in the second quarter, 14 points in the third quarter and 16 points in the last quarter to sum up to 56 points.

Los Angeles Cathedral Phantoms scored 17 points in the first quarter, 24 points in the second quarter, 15 points in the third quarter and 22 points in the fourth quarter for a total of 78 points.

Next game of Cathedral Phantoms will be on January 6, 2015 and they will face against the Diamond Ranch Panthers.

Video: Kobe Paras Highlights Against Alemany Warriors

Here is another video featuring Kobe Paras highlights against Alemany Warriors last December 22, 2014.

The Cathedral Phantoms won against the Alemany Warriors with a final score of 77 - 67.

Kobe hits the three-pointer and gave the first score for his team Cathedral Phantoms. Kobe Paras was chosen as the Player of the Game because he contributed 30 points, 1 rebound and 3 steals.

Kobe is hot from the three-point range as he fired 5 three-pointers.
Having struggled to open the season, Paras has improved game by game and produced a breakout offensive game in what to date is the biggest game of the year with a 30 point performance and 1 spectacular dunk. On the defensive end he also contributed with 3 steals, 2 of which led to offensive baskets. He shot the ball extremely well at a high percentage in this game as well. Without question was an impressive offensive performance with some early defense thrown in.

What can you say about the dunk he delivered with a bonus foul? The crowd were lifted from their seats after that show.

Video: Kobe Paras Dunks With A Twist!

Kobe Paras, a 6 foot 6 inches tall, junior varsity player of Los Angeles Cathedral Phantoms, showing a fancy dunk and he is really good doing it.

We all still remember the moment when he dunked over LeBron James in the Nike promotional tour in Manila. The NBA Superstar playing in Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron, half-heartedly contested the dunk of the Filipino rising star Kobe Paras.

Also the young Paras became the Champion of the FIBA Asia 3x3 Slam Dunk contest. He jumped over his teammate riding in a motorcycle and slamed the ball to the rim, he also showed some fancy dance moves after he dunked.

Another video of Kobe Paras dunk that he posted on his social media account showed how good he is in dunking.

Kobe Paras Showed His After Practice Routine. He's Really Good Doing It!

The gold medalist of the slam-dunk contest in FIBA 3×3 U18 Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia, Kobe Paras, showed his after practice routine in his vine account.

With his great leaping skills and body control in mid-air, Kobe is fond of doing a slam dunk whenever there's a chance of doing it. He already showed some of his spectacular dunks in the San Fernando Valley Invitational Tournament where they were hailed as the champions.

This only shows that Kobe love to dunk so much and he proved it already in the FIBA Slam dunk contest.

Here are the updated statistics of Kobe Paras games as a junior player in Cathedral High School. Kobe is the son of Benjie Paras, the only Rookie who won a MVP tittle during his times in PBA.
