Bishop Montgomery Is Victorious Against Cathedral Phantoms InBasketball Playoff Game, Moving To Semis

The 9th seeded team Cathedral Phantoms lost to Bishop Montgomery last February 25, 2015 by a score of 59 - 47. It's their third time to face each other and unfortunately, Phantoms didn't managed to win even one game against Bishop.

Cathedral Phantoms tried their best to get closed to Bishop Montgomery but the top-gunner of Bishops's, Stephen Thompson Jr., seemed to be a hindrance to them. It was a slow-paced game in the first quarter and  Bishops leading 10 - 8 at the end of the first.

At the second quarter, the Bishop's are still leading 21 - 12 with 2 minutes left in the clock. Cathedral's Milan Acquuah made two baskets and closed the gap to 22 - 16 with seconds remaining. At the end of second quarter, Bishop 25, Cathedral 18.

Bishop's Stephen Thompson Jr. is taking charge in the third quarter and scored three consecutive baskets for his team. Bishop Montgomery 31, Cathedral 25. On the other end, Kobe Paras made 8 points in the third quarter. Kobe is on fire, cutting the deficit to 38 - 33, Bishop still leading. End of third quarter, Bishop Montgomery 40, Cathedral 35.

At fourth quarter, with 2:30 left, Bishop Montgomery still on top 51 - 44. Cathedral's didn't find a way to catch up. Final score, 59-47  Bishop Montgomery's victory.



Cathedral Phantoms (20-7) will go back to Division 3 for the state playoffs. Kobe paras scored 14 points on this game.
